I haven't played in a while so I need some help. I had my dad throw me underhand pitches and I could barely hit them. Probably because I was swiniging the aluminum bat I was using downward instead of horizontal like I normally would. So how would I be able to start having a better swing??
I'm not looking for a homerun power swing or anything, just contact hitter. But also someone that can drive a ball far.|||I'm not sure how old you are so this might be a little difficult for you to understand, but this video is great. It shows Manny Ramirez and breaks down his swing. It has basically everything you need to know about hitting. When you are looking for information on a better swing, you mine as well learn from the best.

When gripping the bat line up your middle knuckles . It may feel weird but it allows for more flexible wrists and last second power as your hands turn at contact. Another thing is to watch the ball all the way to the bat when the pitch is thrown.
If you want to watch someone with a great swing I would suggest watching Joe Mauer. He doesnt have a ton of power but is one of the consistant hitters today. Hope this helps|||Remember to turn your hips.
