What should i set the swing on my thermostat?

I have the default of and 2 or 3. Will a larger swing save money have any other benefit?|||I set mine to 2. any more then that you notice the difference and the house is uncomfortable. I am sure due to the temp going higher you'd save money.. but my husband went nuts!
