What movie is it where the characters need help and these tree people swing down and grab the bad guys?

The characters need help escaping and the tree people offer to help even though they don't usually get involved with human affairs. The character lead the bad guys into the forest and the tree people swing down and get them all. They are only in the movie for a couple minutes. |||Could be from Lord of the Rings.
