How can a swing be used to demonstrate resonance?

By swing i mean a swing at the park. It's only a 2 marks question so i just need a brief answer. Thank you.|||For small angular deflections a swing is a simple pendulum that undergoes

simple harmonic motion. The frequency of oscillation (back and forth) is only

a function of the length of the pendulum (swing chains) and the gravitational

acceleration of the planet it is on. The amount of angular deflection and the

riders mass have no effect on the frequency of oscillation.|||bang it into the steel pole?|||After you give the swing a good push, it goes about 15 feet on the left, and then 14.5 on the right, and 14 on the left, etc. It gradually slows down. And it seems to lose a little less on each swing to the side. Its an example of ....
