What muscles should I work out to swing a heavier bat?

Im 14 in 8th grade and i play baseball for my little league. When i move up to high school im gonna play baseball, but they require that you use a -3 bat (a drop 3 bat). A drop 3 bat is too heavy for me, so i've realized that i need to hit the weight room. What muscles should i work out to swing a heavier bat? Thank you.|||i say wrists, forearms, and definitely legs. those are the most important components of a swing|||I think that you're old enough to start lifting weights, just make sure you don't over do it and make sure you're working every muscle group.

After every workout, I spend around twenty minutes just on forearms and wrists, they're crucial for bat control

Once you get your wrists and forearms strong, you'll start noticing those balls that saw you off start making it through holes and blooping over the infield. I know its not sexy, but a hit is a hit and they will add up by the end of the season.|||Workout your arms a lot and also workout your hips and core with rotational exercises. Here are some videos that may help: http://tiny.cc/Jk9sF Good Luck!|||All of them, a full body workout will do more for you than specific exercises. Run, Hit and Swim
