Hi all, Im ordering new irons, steel shafts, and im wondering whether i need regular or stiff flex. Ive been using stiff fort years but I currently hit the regular flex of the irons i pland on getting and it felt awesome. My swing speed is borderline so what should i do.|||I would go for the stiff, as yu are not moving fast enough to justify the flex|||Be careful as stiff in one brand may be completely different than stiff in another. If you can, go to a golf shop that will let you hit the iron / shaft combination that you are buying. If not, at least see if you can find the correct shaft - many manufacturers do use Dynamic Gold or Precision shafts so you should be able to come close.|||If you hit the "R"s "awesome", that's your answer right there. Most often, a fitter will differ to the more flexible shaft(s)- it prevents the golfer from developing a "MUST KILL" attitude from trying to justify the stiffer shaft(s).|||The best thing is for you to choose for yourself, seeing you liked the reg flex go for the reg. everyone has a different swing so everyone will have their own opinion on they think is best, but you are the one who is playing the 18 holes with them, not us|||it the same problem with all player who change new iron or steel shaft.you should slow but sure.i mean u don't hurry up and don't seriously. take it easy from one to another one.If you need some teqnique i advise you to use this guide(i used it now and it ok!)
