I've seen advertisements for the medicus dual hinge swing trainer and I was wondering if it actually produced as dramatic of results as it advertises. My handicap is 6 now, and I want to get it down to scratch. Do you think one of these medicus things would help?|||I own the driver and the 5 iron. Don't use them as much as I should. I like them. they help groove the swing. BUt what I noticed is that I concentrate so much on arm positioning, that I forget about proper hip rotation and weight shift. I like them, I find they get me back on track when I completely fall off (at the range of course, they are illegal on the course.) I usually try to take a few swings in the parking lot and find it helps.
I think they are worth the money, my father in law returned his the same day he bought the driver. Hated it. So to each their own, caveat emptor, and make sure you know the return policy.|||I use a similar club from another company. Either is fine. It forces you to SLOW down your swing. It will also find swing faults, such as weak wrists. It's one of the few golf "gimmicks" that I still use. Another is a "heavy" club, much like a baseball player uses to warm up.
Good luck with golf.|||Probably, I've never used it personally but I've never seen bad reviews about it. Medicus is probably the most trusted brand when it comes to game-improvement equipment. I think it would be a good investment|||it keeps your swing on the correct plane

When you pull a swing back, what form of energy does it posess?
When you pull a swing back, ready to release it, you are transferring energy to the swing. What form of energy does the swing posess in this state?|||Potential Energy. It came from your muscles.|||If you hold it in one spot, as in don't let it go it has Gravitational Potential Energy, as proven by GPE = weight * height (NOTE: weight = mg)|||the energy is losses in the pull
How can I keep my lower body quiet during the golf swing?
My hips get so active that my club lags behind.Any thoughts that I could think of during the swing that might keep my lower body more quiet or stable?|||your feet are probably un-even, make sure that they are in a straight line aiming at your target, another thing is bend and your waist first, then bend at your knees when your going to take a shot. and lastly, just concentrate on the ball, dont take your eyes off of it, ever, just keep watching it, untill its gone. and if all that doesnt work, then just try to concentrate on not moving, but your swing may be negatively affected if you dont concentrate on the ball.|||Try turning your back foot in a little. This will help hold your weight against your back leg while keeping your hips from swaying. This will also provide more tourqe in your swing. The only drawback is now that your hips are quiet, your hands will tend to "flip" thru the zone quicker producing anything from a draw to the dreaded snaphook. Once you get the hang of it tho, this should solve your problem.
Hope it helps!|||quit farting|||This is an easy one. The wider your stance the quiter your lower body will be(as it has nowhere else to go).|||fiber therapy....
Or practice swing with your left leg(if right handed) against a chair and try to stay as close to the chair as possible without knocking it over.

What should i set the swing on my thermostat?
I have the default of and 2 or 3. Will a larger swing save money have any other benefit?|||I set mine to 2. any more then that you notice the difference and the house is uncomfortable. I am sure due to the temp going higher you'd save money.. but my husband went nuts!
How do I change my voter registration from California to a swing state while living abroad?
I live in London and I'm currently registered to vote in CA. I'd like to change this and vote in a swing state like Florida, Michigan or Ohio. Anyone know how?|||You have to actually prove residence in the state to do that. So, unless you plan on moving to Florida, Michigan, or Ohio in the near future, I don't think this is anything you can do legally.|||doing so would be voter fraud since you don't actually live there and most recently didn't.|||You can't. You would have to move back to the US, legally change your address to the new location and register to vote there.|||the above notwithstanding, I am sure as the election approaches, there will be sites where you can register to swap votes with someone in a state...this happened last time around, and has sine been ruled legal IIRC.|||No can do. You have to establish minimum residency in a state to register as a voter there.
How can I stop uppercutting on my baseball swing?
Im on my high school baseball team and have been hitting a lot of popups lately because Im uppercutting during my swing. How can I level out my swing?|||There are many possible reasons for the pop ups and solutions but this should help.
First, Be sure you are not overstriding as this often causes your body to lower, your hands to drop and an inability to transfer your weight.
Otherwise here are a couple of drills to try.
Set a batting tee even with your back hip and at least hip high. Take some swings coming over the tee but leveling off in the hitting zone. Have a coach flip some balls into the hitting zone and hit the ball by first missing the tee stem.
If you have a second tee, put a tee slightly out front of home and the second one a little out front of the first one. The tee closest to the pitcher should be about three inches above the back tee. Set a ball on both and work on missing the back ball but hitting the lead one. Any drop in the bat barrel will cause you to hit the back ball, which is incorrect.|||well a good swing would be to first take a stride
then you want to lower your shoulders and bring in your arms
then just folow through|||The way I see it, its not a big problem and there are two available solutions.
1st: choke up on the bat to balance out some of the weight so it doesnt dip as much on the far end.
2nd: As your hands are coming through the zone, roll your right hand over the top of the bat a little to keep it level. (or left if your a lefty)
I am a huge frisbee player and one of my biggest problems is throwing a forehand while keeping it level. Naturally, I just want to let my wrist free and rel;ease it but that doesnt work. What Ive done is to basically concentrate on keeping my hand level when I throw it and I think its kinda the same for you. When you are about to swing, just concentrate a little harder on keeping your bat level.
I hope it works out for you.|||Dont roll your wrist. It will completely turn you the opposite way and you will be grounding out to short or second every time depending if youre right or left handed. Practice getting your hands through the zone first and having your right elbow almost locked at point of contact or vice versa for lefty. Keep your weight back more as well it will keep you from popping up with no power.|||set up a tee and practice swinging at it. If you set the tee up in your mid chest are you could be practicing a nice level swing|||try hitting off a tee|||when you are about to swing your hands are probably dropping...focus on keeping them up. I had the same problem trust me this works

Is it physically possible to swing a short sword hard enough to kill a big pig?
I mean, i love the legend of Zelda and all, but how hard would that small boy have to swing that tiny sword to kill those octopuses? Could he do it?|||Maybe Spider Pig- But I am not sure about a real pig.|||Sure its possible...|||if it was a really dull sword, then it would take a lot of force. But since swords are sharp, they don't need as much force to do a lot of damage.|||ask the mythbusters!|||Well yes...especially a sharp sword in the hands of someone who is experienced using it.|||i do think so i love zelda i am a huge fan of that game|||1) hes not human therefore not a small boy
2) he knows moves normal boys doesn't|||Well if he had the strength glove to increase the force of his swing. I would be interested to know the force required to use a short sword to cut through an animal like that.|||Zelda can do anything. And yes, I think it would be possible in real life too if you swing that little sword hard enough. Plus pigs are really soft.|||Find the vulnerable spot.
Swine have a weak lower back. An octopus would die if the gills were damaged.|||Yes.
A sword is designed to do maximum damage, even a relatively weak swing could be enough to kill a pig, if you hit in the correct regions. It might not be enough for an instant kill, but you could certainly do enough damage to make the animal bleed out in a few minutes.
And an octopus is much easier to kill. They present much less resistance, and you could easily cut one clean in half.|||Well, let's assume that the child has an excess of testosterone and is scared of the animal in question. Testosterone leads to muscle building and fear causes an adrenaline rush that can increase strenght exponentially. I have never seen the game you speak of, but if you're strong enough and scared enough, yeah, you can bash out somethings brains with a piece of metal.|||Im sure that a sword could kill those octopuses. Like in humans 2 inches in the right spot could kill u. And that sword sure looks longer than that|||Shortswords are primarily stabbing weapons. You don't swing - you thrust.|||YES... of course.. anything sharp could possibly kill something... or someone!!!
I also love playing Zelda...|||his sword, is probably very sharp|||I would imagine it would be.|||Its a game....
